Evening all,

just a quick note to ask if anyone has any experience re suspect transmission/engine mounts and possible replacement? Car is a 98 C2 manual with 123K miles. in the last month or so the car has developed a slight vibration, nothing too serious but there is some noticable transmission movement when you change gear. Not 100% sure if it could be the engine mounts, have have a look round the web and possibly the transmission mount?

Looks like there is only one mount and its press fitted into the gearbox housing....anyone had any experience of replacing?? Thx

Andy

Hi Chris,

thanks, the info I could found pointed more to the transmission mount and that this was press fitted into the transmission casing...

Never heard of anyone here attempting it but seen quite a few posts on the American forums.

Best of luck.

Thanks for the link, looks like a pain to say the least, not sure I want to ask my OPC how much to undertake! do you think this would be something an Indy would consider/have any experience of?

Not sure myself if its really necessary to drop the transmission, failing that I would say any Indy should be competent (frightening thought).

Any pics of yours?.
