Engine Under Cover

Just had my Cayman S MOT carried out passed with flying covers.

Took the opportunity to take a look underneath, The mechanic pointed out that there was no cover under the engine. He thought there should be.

The car has been into Porsche Bristol several times and they have never commented

Should there be a cover or has it been left off at some point?

No sign of damage to the panel next to it so it has not been knocked off.

Thanks

Trevor

Trevor, In FAQ's you will find a link to the parts catalogues in Cayman987C search the body section and I think the illustration of the trays is 801-70 sorry but didn't have a pen and memory isn't always correct!![]

Here is a shot of my Cayman taken from the drivers side, the wheel is the N/S/R wheel. Not great quality sorry but may help

All My local Porsche dealer has given me a reply tonight. Evidently the Cayman has a floor cover but not an engine cover underneath Seems a little odd Thanks Trevor
