Engine warning light

Thanks to all of you who helped with suggstions. The issues seems to be resolved after a prolonged test of over 140 miles. (Remember that the warning came back on with a new MAF afer 70 miles) Thanks to to Simon of Hillcrest Specialist Cars for his preseverence. The fault codes list MAF, Throttle position adjuster and heavily soiled throttle body. The throttle body was removed and cleaned, although not particularly soiled at all, and replaced. This is all that was done and the idle is now correct at about 1050 cold and 900 warm, (at least I think so, but Lord Hamilton of Sith will soon correct me).
The only thing that bugs me is that in order to save a trip to Hillcrest I have had to procure a Torx t20 security bit to exchange the MAF for my original one. Why in the name of Jebus did Porsche in their wisdom use security fasteners, (i.e. with a central pin in the recess) to hold the MAF in place?

Which is why anyone sensible will replace those stupid T20 things with nice simple crosshead selftappers. I have the requisite T20 if you need a lend of it & I'm only up the road from you.

Thanks for the offer NXI 20 but I bought a set today. It has been said before, in a recent post. Once you get in your 911 you can't get out of it, or at least don't want to especially if it is the Turbo cab. Perfect day for the roof down. It is with that thought that I went to my not so local indie tool shop on the A4, who knows what a torx security bit is when you ask. I bought the third set offered offered and took the 911 for a blat the long way home via Handycross and Marlow bottom. Looking forward to the track day now.
