Entertainment system has gone bonkers

Hi

Am wondering if anyone has a suggestion? Ive a 01 boxster. It has a mini screen where sat nav and the music is controlled from.

The first problem is that the sound has dissappeared. Secondly the system seems to have jammed and is stuck on radio but with no sound.

Ive checked the manual and fuses but to no avail. Am not looking forward to a drive from Brighton to Yorkshire tomorrow without any tunes!!!!

Many thanks

James

As with all electronic gear disconnect the power from it then reconnect, usually the problems will be reset and all will work fine

I am with Glyn

Happened to me quite a few times on my 2002 (52) 986 while I had it. It was the upgraded Porsche Stereo and always went ont he blink via CD, left me on radio but with no sound at least a dozen times in 3 years ownership. [&:]

Glyn suggestion is also what I did - turn off leave off for a while then turn on again, failing that disconnect and reconnect the power. It always worked for me but sometimes needed two goes. [:D]

Hope yours is as easilly fixed

Many thanks.

So as simply as pulling out the power leads from the amp and leaving for a while.

Will try it now and report back.

Thanks
