"993 "RSR" system now available at £xxx+vat per pair on an exchange basis. The best sound package bar none as used on the 911 Porsche world project car. Note we hold these in stock as an agent for Carnewal so its the same parts as supplied from Gert but ready for next day delivery"

from another forum user who recently enquired about RSR's for their 993.....

Gert from Carnewal has said in response to the text on the ES website......"No, they are not.We have already asked to remove that from their website."

[] So I would suggest you ONLY source your RSR's from Gert directly.

Hello all, I have been sent a link to this post a couple of times now by customers that have said I should respond so I think its best that I make the situation clear.

I used to travel through Belgium to Holland regularly collecting parts, on one occassion i met with Gert and bought 4 or 5 pairs of silencers with his full knowledge that i was planning to resell them in the UK. I also bought maybe 2 or 3 sets from time to time as i needed them. So its fair to say i think that i used to sell "original Gert silencers" with his blessing. I always thought Gert benefitted as much as me from my use of his name on my web page.

I sold the last pair i had in stock earlier this year and was contacted around the same time by Gert to say i should remove the reference to his name from my website. This will be done in the next few weeks, its well overdue but we have fallen out with the guy that helped me run the site and i havent been able to access it since January so its well out of date. I am now re-writing thew site myself and will have to relaunch the whole thing so its much more time consuming than i thought.

Since running out of Gerts own products i have referred 5 customers direct to his site to buy them so he is not losing out and more importantly I am dont feel I am abusing the use of his name. I am certainly not trying to make and sell the copies of his RSR silencers.

I happily apologise to Gert for delays in the web update, as I have done previously in emails direct to him.

I dont want anyone out there to think i am selling some "moody" version of Gerts silencers as thats not the way i run my business.

Best Regards

thanks for the clarification

Thanks Richard and Sundeep, Since posting i think its something i probably should have posted about myself a few months ago so members knew i wasnt selling them any longer. By the way it goes without saying, but just in case,I want it known that my decision not to sell them may have coincided with Gert not wanting me to sell them, but either way my decision has nothing to do with quality or service from Gert who has always been helpful, they are a great product and I am sure they will continue to be popular.

Best Regards Simon
