Just looking for some views on this. I can temporarily extend my current AA cover to include Europe (which is what we did last time) or does anyone know of a good standalone policy to cover one off European jaunts (or even is there such a thing?).

Cheers.

Hi
I found a policy for european cover with Axa just for the days we were away. It cost approx £23 for 6 days.
If you google european breakdown there is quite a choice.
Hope this helps
Cheers

I've heard chaps on the Impact Bumpers forum using ADAC in Germany for European cover, which of course includes the UK. Seems like they are perfectly happy to accept UK members. http://www.adac.de/mitgliedschaft/adac_membership/default.aspx

Lateral thinking.

Maybe there are benefits to EU membership.......

I have ADAC

I looked closely at it they are the german AA and if needed you can get rescued in the uk ( they use the AA to pick you up!)europe wide and year long run with typical Teutonic efficency

my renewal is 79.50 Euro little over due but hey I'm english and they have a sense of humour( i hope, they did last year)

you also get the monthly magazine bit wasted on me as I cant speak german but proper tyre tests you can rely on

Amongst all the praise for ADAC, FYI just a cautionary note from an earlier posting:
