Anyone tried this yet?

Would be interested to know your thoughts if you have.

Personally, I hate the idea of "good for life, never replace it". It's a lot of money if you have a hose fail and it all leaks out!

For ordinary road use it looks a bit over the top to me.

Quite a few racers use it, can be better than usual stuff if cooling is a problem.

I wouldn't use it for normal road use for the reasons Paul says.

My answer is to use an inexpensive (I pay 99p per litre) antifreeze that is also suitable for summer use. I use a larger ammount, about 5 litres in a 924S (same as 8 valve 944) this increases the boiling point and makes for inproved cooling and all for less than a fiver.[;)]

Seen it being used by Ed China of wheeler dealers fame, but to be honest, I am not sure that the wheel needed reinventing, and I am not sure the new wheel is any good or serves a purpose..

A wetter coolant cools more. Distilled water and water wetter will probably suffice though, where you dont want to or cant use ethylene glycol.

Ha, Ha !! Don't want to pi55 on your parade or anything but, two or three days after using Evans Waterless Coolant in his 1973 Dodge Challenger.....the engine seized up [:(]!! Probably not related though.....I'll get my coat.....[8|].

I believe 911&PorscheWorld are running trials on a Boxster in an attempt to research the reason for why the bores get scored.

A few people in the Stag world have used it (an engine with a reputation for overheating if maintenance has been neglected) with their being success (saying that, the Triumph V8 cooling runs at 20PSI, possibly still quite high by today's standards, making hoses interesting (many rubber ones are appalling in all honesty).

just one major issue to my mind ,its flamable ,very !!!!! lol great idea with a major draw back

theyre not allowed on race tracks for this reason

911 & Pw had an article about fitting the stuff. You have to remove every drop of existing water/anti-freeze first. The removed hoses left right and centre and used multiple flushes and still thought that they didn't get it all out. To my mind not worth the 100s in cost unless cooling is a real issue.

They were touting it as a possible solution to the problem with bore scoring on these modern Porsche kettles.
