How is everyone on this thundery June evening?

I'm considering the possibility of coming back to Porsche ownership, but looking at either a 996 Turbo or a Cayman S. There are lots of other cars out there that I am also thinking of but thought I would pop in and say hi

I don't suppose anyone has come across my old 996 have they? I miss that car...

I'm not a fan of American muscle myself, but each to his own. Too brash for me - I prefer something more subtle. []

I went to see that one before I bought mine, on the same day in fact. I really didn't like the dealers, poor directions to find them, wasn't offerred a drink, despite travelling for 4 hours to get there and then their toilet was in a portaloo outside.

The staff didn't really know the history of the car (i.e. when it had last had the clutch done, etc, as it is possibly due about this mileage), and it had a big scratch on the back/roof area, on the leather in the drivers footwell and the gear lever was also used. The tyres were low on tread, the wheels are off a GT3, so oversize (nice if that is what you want) and it was nearly twice the mileage of the car that I bought for the same money.

Compared to others, it drove well and was generally in good condition, but personally I decided to walk away, for the reasons above. You might go down there, find it easily, like the people, like the car and decide to go ahead, but I almost ran out of there.
