Now we're getting braver with our polling, how about for Events in 2008 ? Here's a list of events, including some we did in the last couple of years. Please vote and make any new suggestions too, we need all the help and feedback we can get. You should be able to make multiple votes.

Rob and Gary.

Hi Rob,
Judy fancies a tour of the Peak District!
Also I reckon I could compile a pretty good route for a "Tour of the Moors" (Dartmoor/Exmoor) if there was any interest - would need to be Spring or Autumn to avoid holiday traffic though.
Regards,
Clive

Both great ideas Clive (and Judy)...
mmmm... and I have a route for the Peaks....

Plenty more ideas including the Champagne Tour weekend and the Yorkshire moors driving weekend...[8D]

As a note to the Prodrive day, training is in your own car, so no worries about learning a new car...[:D]

Not speaking from personal experience (although something new would be an attraction for me) but I read an article in a Porsche mag a couple or more years ago about a drive in Northumberland taking in Hadrian's wall that sounded quite interesting. Anyone have any suggestions for a route?

Also don't forget we discussed Stuttgart in the past, but perhaps PCGB's Porsche past tour covers this.

Allan, Stuttgart is still on the cards, the Poll certainly doesn't cover everything we are looking at.
We are awaiting more information on the status of the new museum prior to planning..
It may even be included as part of the return leg of another trip abroad.

The lakes and Scotland are also being discussed....[:)]
This year was I think we can agree pretty much wiped clean by the weather.. hopefully next year will offer better prospects[&:]

I've made my vote(s), but to be honest if available would be interested in most of the events. As I'm new to the PCGB, do I need to get myself on an email distribution list for event details, or is it all driven by forums?

Paul
Thank you for your vote and input.
The majority of events are posted in the Porsche Club magazine in plenty of advance and we try to follow them up here on the forum.
Some events that have missed the print deadline are originated here.
If you email Rob997 (OP) he can add you to email lists.

Hi Robert and Gary -

Re Peak District tour why not think of including the Cat & Fiddle near Buxton - Tiff N. from Fifth Gear featured this in a Cayman a year or so ago.
I live on the edge of the Peak District so if I can be of any help please let me know.

Re overseas trip why not think of Italian Lakes - Lake Como which is close to Milan, St Moritz and Monza race track.

Thanks for the offer Randolph, I'll certainly be in touch about the Peaks,
I did a run over the cat and fiddle earlier this year and had a great time (were you with the MK guys going the other way ?) Certainly a special place to visit...

The Italian roads around Como whilst stunning to look at, are not that wide.. certainly worth the hassle though.

2005, I went from Lake Como via St Moritz through to Davos on thr road they used on the Top Gear drive... something that is being weighed up on whether to include on a Swiss trip or Euro drive hopefully next year...

To many places, too little time []

Lesley and I certainly enjoyed the Welsh trip last month, so more of the same please - a great way to enjoy the cars the way they were intended. If Clive and Gary are prepared to organise some routes, I'm sure the register will support them.

Myself and Rob had a planning meeting during the last week (pub) and we have taken on board the suggestions and advice from this Poll.
We will be leaving the poll open for a short while longer, just so any others to add their votes.

As you will have seen the Swiss trip is already open for people to register their interest and others will be added shortly [8D]

I would be up for shooting clays as I had a session cancelled at Gleneagles over new year due to snow.

100% up for visit to Porsche at Silverstone HQ!
