Last meeting we nigh-on completed the 2008 calendar - A really good meeting, and credit to all the members attending. I think we were all in agreement of the problems at some of our events, but also in the solutions to make them even better next year.

I'm sure Nick will put the calendar on his website as usual, but in the mean time, I thought it might be useful to give you a details of what we would like to have next year.

In no particular order.

Poole Quay - 90+ Porsches last year... 100+ in 2008?
A trip to the Isle of Man?
Some driving event... a skid pan is a favourite.
Scenic drive... we may have an idea for an interesting destination!
Concour... currently considering two possible locations.
The Carrera Cup round at Thruxton.
Evening meet Barbeque
The Annual Christmas meal.

Thats more than one event per month in the summer months, never mind the National Events, and things like Wessex Classic car show, if we want to do that again next year, Classics at the Castle - Sherborne Castle, Go-Karting etc.

Hopefully we will have a few more things on in the evenings, at the regular meetings, and maybe another couple of winter weekend meetings this year.

Obviously there is nothing to stop any of us attending other events, or slotting other things in the calendar, other than what we find is if we try to do too much, we spread ourselves thin. It is also easy to come up with the ideas, but then (with some notable exceptions) leave it to the committee to do all the work and organisation.

Anyway, hopefully we will nail this down over the next month or so, particularly at the next meeting, so come along and have some input.

Regards,

Tref.
