Evo worth a look

I am not normally a big fan of EVO but I do have time for Chris Harris who must be one of the best motoring journalists out there.

The current edition of EVO is well worth a look though as it has around 60 pages of Porsche versus Ferrari comparisons plus a very good article from Harris on why flappy paddles/ double clutches etc reduce some driving enjoyment despite making the car faster. Comparisons include:

GT2RS versus 599 GTO
GT3 RS versus 458
Carrera GT versus Enzo
964RS versus 348 Competizone

Manual gearbox, lightweight and loads of driving fun is the way to go!! Sounds like a GT 3 to me!!
 
Read it on a transatlantic flight, actually a good edition of Evo for a change. Used to subscribe but when Meaden left the quality of the mag went downhill. Now he's back with Harris I do keep an eye out for it to see if it's worth a look. It's a pity their Drivers Republic website didn't work out, there was some good stuff there.

still not a bad read ........... they love Porsches and still remain honest and fair..............[8D]
