Excellent condition RHD manual 968 Sport wanted

Hi

I'm looking to purchase a manual 968 sport, preferably in either black, guards red, riviera or maritime blue. I'm definitely not interested in any of the other blues, silver, brown, green or yellow but may consider other colours that I've not listed (if there are any)

I would prefer a full Black leather interior if possible, but i would consider other variants & colours as long as they were not blue, brown, beige or red.

I'm looking for full service history only (OPC or Porsche specialist) with a recent MOT.

Preferably I would like the car to have covered less than 100k & have had all of the usual potential issues already dealt with.

I'm not looking for a cheap bargain just a genuine well maintained car appropriately priced.

Regards
Karl

Karl, how do you define a "Sport" as distinct from a coupe? OK, you don't want the CS buckets etc, but sports seats and 17" wheels. Sunroof? Aircon? Electric windows? There were so many options that could be added to the basic CS spec to make it a Sport for the UK market that if you added all of them, there's not a lot of difference between a Sport and a standard coupe - except price nowadays! Bearing in mind you can still buy the suspension parts to lower and/or stiffen the suspension, there may well be logic in buying a cheaper coupe and replacing the 20 year old (and probably tired) suspension with new.

I really don’t want buckets as this is sort of for getting to work & family weekend use only when i need more than the 2 seats offered by my weekend toy. Leather is for obvious reasons with 2 young kids. but i would like sports suspension & 17" wheels electric windows, Aircon possibly, sunroof not bothered The main reason for a sport is so I don’t have to start spending money on modifications, i would rather buy & just drive without having to invest time & money into turning a coupe in to a sport, but I would never say never as I’m sure i will have to compromise at some point, apart from with the colour as i definitely do not like the colours i have stated (based on having seen them as 968's in the flesh & not just from a picture on the net) Regards Karl

Hi Blade I am selling my Sport. It is Amaranth Violet, just MOT'd last week and has done 99,390 miles with 12 OPC services and 6 Specialist. 94L standard car, no A/C Would happily do all the front end belt-work and WP for you at cost of parts only - OE or Aftermarket, your call. I need to sell fast so Ă‚ÂŁ7k buys it Cheers, Chris 07874244413

Cheers for the reply Chris, not one of my front running colours, but if your not too far away I may be interested in seeing it. does it have leather? & how far are you from Dorset? Regards Karl

Hi Karl Agree on the colour, not to everyone's taste (not even mine as it happens!) No leather, just standard black cloth and I am in Milton Keynes. I can happily take a bunch of photos and email them over if you like, my email is chris.piper3@btopenworld.com Cheers. Chris

http://www.autosdekens.be/ Nice LHD M220 Maritime car here. CS not sport. Guy is easy to deal with and I bought my Cup car from him.

Very nice apart from the colour matched wheels, unfortunately i only want RHD (which i failed to mention) Thanks Karl

Would this suit? [link=http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C327630]http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C327630[/link] Presumably a coupe rather than a sport. Not my car and no affiliation - just happen to be looking for one myself and came across it. Duncan

Yes, coupe not sport, 993 indicators (clear, not orange originals. Have seen others comment before that the fit of those is never perfect) and those bling split rims must be at least 17" if not 18" (and IMHO look horrid!).

Was it possible to spec a Sport with leather? I thought they were only available with the CS buckets or the Sport only "Comfort" cloth seats.

I did see a sport advertised with full leather (Riviera blue in Durham) but i couldnt find anyone to do a recon for me. but i dont know if it was an option?

Only CS,s came with the buckets. Most sports came with the so called comfort seats. They are thinner and lighter than the usual "lux" seat. But i didnt find them that comfy... Didnt give me support in the right places.
