Excellent day at Curborough !

Saturday 23 October was gloomy and cold and WET......however , Steve 'Tea-Boy' Brookes had organised a mini circuit day at Curborough , which is sort of in the middle of England....ALE country close to Burton on Trent....so naturally I was interested in attending [:D]. Curborough has a mini circuit which suits single car on a track sprint events very well.

Steve had run a similar event in 2009 , which was well received by the 964 community , and as the 964RS is 'family' it seemed only right to put on the road tyres and join in , plus Ian ( Ian964) was also down to go with the 964Cup.

It was great ! , you can read the write up on the 964 forum to see what took place [:)]

I dont know if Steve can be persuaded to do another one next year as he did not get any circuit time himself , acting as organiser / marshal / official timekeeper.....but if he did ...I'd recommend it as a fun day out for 964RSs ....£40 a head and pretty low risk of hitting anything.
I did go offroad and spin after rejoining the circuit but having watched the Korean Grand Prix which seemed to be run in similar conditions I felt I was in good company [;)]

At least it made a change from me just making the tea [:D]

.....and yes I'm more than likely to organize it again and maybe some of the polishers could give me a helping hand on the day [;)]

So...........how many names can I put forward for the PCGB Speed Championship next year????[;)]
