Exhaust advice

My exhaust needs replacing from the manifolds back! One of the cats is gone and needs replacing and the drivers side box is blowing and could do with updating. So was thinking of replacing the whole system and be done with it! I dont want it to loud, just right.

I have seen the Eurocup Gt in Porscheshop that seems reasonable but not sure what sounds like etc? Has anyone got this system on here or do you have any other ideas that i should be looking at?

If you want a cheaper solution there are lots of standard systems available 2nd hand where people have upgraded to PSE, If it were me though I'd be looking at PSE as it transforms the car, I had it retro fitted on my previous Carrera and C4S and miss it so much on the Turbo.

Costs seems to have crept up considerably though as both my retrofits were done for IRO £1600

How big is the bypass pipe on the pse or does it not have one?

PSEs work on butterfly valves that open and close at the press of a button. (If you retro fit the wiring as well).

Its default position is open. When you press the switch it closes the valves and enters quiet mode. The sound on open mode is amazing.

In terms of width of the bypass i am not sure.

Roy did a bypass mode for £200 (i think) 1.5 inchs. This means that the exhaust is permanently loud but the sound difference is great.

Hope that helps

Meng got the 1.5" bypass and I got 1". If I was doing it again I would go abit louder like 1.25" but then I haven't heard meng's car. Place I got it done was Style Dynamix in Hayes. West London.

The area of the pipe goes up by the square of the diameter, so going from 1" to 1.5" more than doubles the flow through the pipe. Because this bypasses the whole of the silender, the effect will be considerable.

1.5 is a bit quite for me .dont forget i used to ride super bikes worked at IOM TT, world super bikes, motogp formula 1. i had super loud bike exhaust in fact one of my bikes was so loud it used to set car alarms off. BUT it was a safety feature !!

I think when I finally get round to ordering a new exhaust i'm going to go for the 1.5" version. Dam wedding in june means it will be july before i can order it[:)]
