Exhaust advice

My drivers side cat has started to blow a little. So time to renew them. I need some advice regarding going down the de cat route.
I know I will need cats for mot in 11 months time. I want a sportier exhaust than stock. But do not want to pay 2k for the privilege.

Can you run by pass pipes with or without the lambdas? Will this throw a CEL ? If you dont use the sensors how do you disconnect them is this just a unplug them from the loom job ?

Running either 100 or 200 cell cats will this throw a CEL and will these pass an mot?

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a replacement exhaust at the right price.

Many thanks in advance for any replies

Steve

A cat bypass or lambda removal will cause a CEL.

If you want to avoid this and still want to pass MOT, you can get a shop to replace the cat elements inside the original manifolds with 100 or 200 cell sport cats or get new aftermarket sport cats.
