Exhaust/air flow/seat upgrades- questions.

Having had the car now 2 months and 3k miles and already updated it re lights, I now want a bit more noise and more power [:D] Especially the noise. I've had a number of Scoobys over the years and I can stand a bit more howl from that flat 6. Well you do don't you.

Has anybody had an after market exhaust kit fitted be it just a back box or the full works i.e manifolds, 100 cell cats etc ?

More importantly how much, where from, ease of fitting, is it a bad resonator etc.

Also induction kits. I tend to agree with the comments re true flow kit that they do not work unless placed in the cold air flow area. Anybody got any experience of any air flow kits ?
I had an ESS kit on the 968 that was quite a substantial piece of work. It sat down low right at the front of the car near the ground, and you could feel the difference straight away. The throttle pick up was better and it made a nice noise when the throttle was opened up but quiet on normal running.

Finally the seats. I have normal seats I think, 01MY car with the electric back adjust and electric boot/bonnet switches, and am finding them a little uncomfortable around the top of my back/shoulder area. They seem a bit tight and I don't seem to be able to settle in them. No I am not a big chap, in that area.[;)] Ahem.[&:]

Are the later seats fittable or was a sport seat available at that time ?

Any comments would be gratefully received.[:)]

Cheers,
DPH

Noise is easy.

1) Remove the snorkel - cost = 3 minutes of your time.
2) Fit a K&N filter - circa £50.00 & 15 minutes.

Wouldn't waste money on an induction kit.

Seats - I found the Boxster Sports seats very comfortable, but the "normal" seats are wider at the shoulders - I'd be supprised if you couldn't arrange a swap with someone on the forum.
