EXHAUST / CASSETTE TRAY

Good morning

My 993 4S has a Tech art exhaust fitted. It wasn't my choice but I guess I have got used to the noise it produces. Every year my car is MOT'd it just scapes in on the emissions test and Strasse say this may well be down to the exhaust. Does anyone out there have a similar experience or should I be thinking that the exhaust needs replacing or looking at the Oxygen lamda sensor.

Also I can't recall where I have seen a replacement tray with rubber insert (don't want a cup holder) that fits where the cassette holder is fitted.

Give Leeds OPC a call for the tray ... I have just ordered one myself [;)] and cheaper than some of the other places on teh web

I have Supercups on mine and the emmissions have never been an issue. Sounds like the oxygen sensor may be at fault.

| have Tech-Art exhaust never expeirenced any issues with emissions. Probably something else ....O2 sensor ???

It may come down to how you are driving the car. If you are doing mainly town and/or short journeys the cats tend to get choked up. They need to get good and hot to clear them the crap out. A good long blast or letting it sit at a fast idle until really hot usually does the job (but may cause distortion of the bumper).

These cars will normally pass the emissions test without a cat fitted.
