Exhaust Centre Box

Guys whilst installing my AFR sensor the other day I noticed a small pinhole in the centre box of my exhaust. Thing is the hole looked perfectly round and centred and almost as if it was designed to be there. So the question is before I get the Gun Gum out and plug the bugger up is this actually a drain hole for the centre box and inded supposed to be there?

I've never noticed one that looks like it should be there, but even though they are amazing quality they do eventually start to rust through [&o] so perhaps that is what you have. If the gun gum gets blown out and a weld won't work you can always replace that first box with a straight through pipe. It definately helps with spool up on a Turbo car and is not too boomy or loud as long as you have a rear box

The genuine rear boxes do have one to let the water out so the centres might as well.

Thanks Tony. I think I will check the rear box then and see if there is a hole and what size it is lol. Should give me an idea as to whether the centre should have one.

IIRC Its near the front of the box at the lowest point - thought my brand new (freshly polished) rear box was damaged till I worked out why it was leaking.
