^^^^^^ What he said, but in a bit more detail:
It is an easy job, except the exhaust clamp bolts will be badly corroded. If they haven't been off before, you will be hard pushed to recognise the tip clamp bolts (22). Most times, it is best to cut through the bolt or clamp. The joining sleeves (29) don't corrode as badly, and you can give them a good soak in WD-40 the night before. Best to get a new set of clamps before you start.
Jack up the car at the rear, and take off the wheel. Make sure the car is secure on axle stands.
Take off the exhaust tips (21) and undo the clamping sleeves (29). Make sure the sleeve is loose, and slide it along the pipe to expose the joint. Undo the three nuts (16) from the mounting bracket, and the silencer will come off through the wheel arch.
Leave bracket (28) connected to the silencer, and swap it over to the new one. Bolts 24 and 25 usually need a good spray of WD-40 too.
That's all there is to it......
You might be able to leave the tips connected, and separate them later, but I haven't tried it..
