Email Ian at sales@haywardandscott.co.uk or www.haywardandscott.co.uk to get an idea of there systems etc

Hello Sniper

I`m in the same boat as you and looking at various options. As Maurice mentioned the RSRs from Gert at carnewel come very recommended, good price, good quality and a good sound. The other option that I am considering is Fabspeed muffler bypasses, there is a link with video clips on -www.fabspeed.com
I think design911 supply the fabspeeds.

I tried a 993 Trubo last weekend that had a full £6000 Gemballa exhaust system fiitted - and BOY! did it sound superb. It wasn't even intrusive in the cabin either. Gemballa are in the upper end of Porsche after tuning market and have an excellent reputation.
Try the following link for a back box and Im sure you'll be satisfied - at a price!!

Spider, have a read of my earlier post on the sports exhaust for my 996TT, I think you are in the same boat & will have to change the cats in order for the system to work properly, this makes it expensive. Best of luck.

My 993 turbo has the Techart system which was a factory fit when new. It sounds great but is not intrusive into the cabin at all. I think Ninemeister are the agent. Apparently worth a few HP to!

I had Techart 100 cell sports Cat exhaust system and Tubi sport silencers fitted to my '97 993 Turbo by Scuderia Systems (http://www.scuderiasystems.com/index2.htm). It sounds excellent from outside and no different inside with the windows up and is apparantly good for around an extra 25bhp. The turbos definately spin up a lot earlier.

Hi thought you might be interested in these. Just found them on Ebay.

Thanks for replys guys, Im having new silencers and larger oval tail pipes fitted for approx £1500. The cats would be another £1500 so gave that a miss! will let you know what it sounds like when fitted.

Hi Sniper,
just a quick one for you to check, this may not apply to the 993, but it does for the 996, so I thought you may want to double check before you pay out !!!
I was told that if you fitted a free flow system from the cats back it throws the engine management out as the sensor's read the variance in flow before & after the cats. This is why I had to change the cats as well. As I say this probably doesn't apply to the 993, but thought it was worth checking, hate you to spend out & then have problems.

Thanks Grant, but think its ok. There was a chap in one of the porsche mags who fitted the silencers and tail pipes - didnt seem to be any problems - will double check though.
