Exhaust Gassses mot failure

Hi

I am the very proud owner of a 2005 3.2s boxter s that has just failed its MOT due to leaking exhaust gases (nearside silencer). I have been recommended a new DANSK after matket system from my local independent Porsche specialist circa £900.00 + £150.00 fitting + VAT for both sides from the first cat back, but they have advised me it may be a little noisier. Has anybody had any experience of these exhausts and any thoughts on the price.

Many thanks

If you buy directly from Design911 I believe they will allow a 10% discount for PCGB members but your Porsche Independent may match or beat that. It’s worth asking anyway.
i suggest that you will probably prefer the quieter of the I believe two Dansk alternative. I’ve heard many times that the louder version becomes tiresome.
I have the Carnewal GT upgrade on my 3.2 Boxster S and that is the bees knees from a sound point of view. From very civilised albeit with a deeper note to a glorious flat 6 howl when accelerating hard.
The job should take under an hour I think and £150 + VAT looks very expensive.
