a worthwhile investment then?! did you go for a fettled your existing boxes or buy a pair of replacements?

Used existing hardware, tony has welded in a stainless steel bypass pipe in essence it is the same as the pse minus the bypass shutoff valve.

I know that the stainless steel bends and tubes he uses are very high quality, expensive, and will probably last longer than the exhaust. Tony is very meticulous (I know I am biased, but ask anyone who uses him) so you can guarantee that it will be right.

Frankly speaking still this mod is nothing like the actual PSE. They should not be compared!

I have the PSE MkII and it is very loud. It TOTALLY bypasses the silencer chambers in back box [:D]

I expect this modification to be more like the PSE MKI which was just an additional bypass pipe running in parralel with the stock silencer compartment.that add a bit of noise when open.

To be honest, without a switch, I'd prefer the slightly less RAW sound the MkI will make.

Enjoy [:)]

Well here we go my first post!!

So who is Tony and where is he?? Sorry if I am being dense!! [:)]

As my exhaust is pritty good I would prefer it "modified" rather than buy the e-bay option. Or what of the collection of other exhausts out there??!!

Fabspeed .. et al ....

Its bit of a minefield!!

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Richard

I'll drop Tony an e-mail.

I much prefer word of mouth recomendations to a large OPC shiny sign with a leather sofa ... highly complicated coffee machine, etc ....

My 911 and 944 go to a friend who is a real "mechanic" rather than a "technician" who I have known for years.

Watch this (listen to) this space!!

Just taken a look at Wright tune's web site. The OBC and cruise control add on, sound a worthwhile addition. Anyone had any experience of this addition - does it work as well as the original ?

For anyone who cares....the Oettle version (same as Tony's version) registers 103.9db @ 4,000rpm @1m (I measured mine personally today)....I couldn't take it to the 3/4 revs level required by most tracks as it was struggling to rev over 4k in Neutral.

This means it is way too loud for most tracks, so beware.

This IS the original system. Take a look at the OBC/Cruise retrofit thread in the Technical Articles section.

Thanks Richard, that's interesting ... but even with time and effort to DIY fit it still won't work unless you have access to someone with a Porsche tester/computer, presumably ?
