Exhaust Replacement.

Simple question, how difficult is it to change the exhaust on a Boxster, is there any special techniques required?

If you mean just the backboxes it should be easy. But in reality it's usually a real PITA because all the bolts/nuts will have rusted so you'll probably need to angle grind them off etc etc

I'm guessing your after replacing the manifold to cat flange bolts, you won't get to the top one with an angle grinder, I ended up with a hacksaw blade wrapped in a rag [].

Peter are you in Lytham? I'm just down the road if you need some advice just PM me.

I posted a thread over on boxa.net on replacing the exhaust on my 987 with a pse. There are some pics and hints on how to get to the manifold to downpipe bolts. As others have said not only are these difficult to get to , but often rusted solid.
