1st time I got a welder to do 1 5/8" diameter bypasses, a la LPMM route. You may wish to do somehting between that an up to 2" & search youtube.
Mine changed sound dramatically: Idle sounded deeper/throatier and I was happy with it. It also hit the highest noticeable noise levels at about 2700-3200 rpm but there was a bit of torque loss originally at 2700 rpm. That was sorted after someone banged the back of my car and I got new cat & silencers with new 02 sensors: the new silencers had LPMM done again and with a new O2 sensor there is now no torque loss.
I would be lying if I said there was absolutely no resonance inside the car at idle, becasue therre is a little with which I am not concerned at all becasue it is so small. Nobody else has noticed it from the passenger seat.

Thanks Dave.
You're right of course but I do not have a single photo small enough to meet PCGB rules for avatar size, drat. One of the prior 964 regsiter secretaries transformed my 964 C2 targa photo into a tiny file to use here. To change now I might have to get an old kodak and do a low quality scan to get a file small enough.
Now for an instamatic off ebay!!
