Hi to all,
I wrote during March informing the world of my new purchase (2010 Carrera white Boxster S) On May 12th the rear end was re-arranged by by driver who decided NOT to look where she was going and a low speed rear-end shunt ensued.
My pride and joy was given to Poole Accident Repair Centre (Porsche Approved) on May 15th and it's still there. Why? Germany sent over a new exhaust system minus the right hand silencer. Numerous phone calls and it appears to be a worldwide problem with the manufacturer. I have today suggested they fit a sports exhaust and I will pay the difference. I await their decision. I have complained to Porsche GB and I again wait to see if they can improve the situation.
PC Bournemouth have been brilliant but their hands are tied so to speak.
I hope no one else is in the same situation.
Take care of your Boxsters guys and girls. I would hate anyone to lose their wheels for so long, especially with this summer top-down weather.
I will keep you posted.
Oh! I was given a Gen3 Bxster to run around in so I'm still able to pose with the top down.

+ side you are putting no miles or wear on your own car [;)] Be patient Rome wasn't built in a day[:D]

Kitchens,
Yeh, take your point but it's been in the garage for a third of my ownership!

Just very frustrating, a good job Porsche didn't build Rome, they'd still be at it!

Update for any interested parties!

Porsche e.t.a. for exhaust slipped till end Aug. So have done a deal and am having the Sports exhaust system fitted. (readily available)

Back on the road next Tuesday.

Porsche (Ger) will not admit they are having problems with supplier but be aware, should any of you need a genuine exhaust or part of,
you are in for a long wait.

For you number crunchers out there, a Porsche sports exhaust for a boxster (fitted is £2460)

Happy days[:)]

All done with good discounts. Sounds fantastic.
Got her back this afternoon. Duff info re. the cost of a P.S.E. It actually comes out around the £1500 mark, still a lot of money but I will not disclose what Porsche contributed to the cost. Just glad to have her back after 54 days.

Looking forward to Poole Quay on the 18th and Classics at Sherborne Castle on the 20th.

Thanks for comments. Stay safe.

You won't regret having the Sports Exhaust. I had one retrofitted to my 2009 Boxster, it was expensive but well worth it for the aural enjoyment. So glad you have got your car back on the road
