Exhaust tips for 993

Hi
I am considering replacing the exhaust tips on my 95. 993.

Any opinions on which look and sound the best would be appreciated. I have seen
slash cut ones advertised which follow the contours of the bumper and have also seen some that don't!!

If anyone has refurbished the existing successfully that may be an option although the original tips are small compared to some I have seen.
Thanks in advance.
Mike

The exhaust tips don't affect the sound and looks are very much a personal thing. I put Design Tec ones on mine a number of years ago. They look good (I think) and fill the bumper holes better than the originals.

Surprisingly tip can make a difference in sound, thats why Porsche sell them as a "sound package". Aftermarket one will change the note too, its a try and see thing!

Certainly didn't make any appreciable difference to mine when I swapped over to the larger ones.
Are the tips included as part of the "sound package" not just aesthetic, with the "sound" part coming from the replacement boxes?

I swapped Techquipment big ovals for twin aftermarket and noticed a difference in sound, others have reported the same thing when they have changed although it does depend on what you had and what you changed to!
