Exhaust tips

Can anyone advise whether exhaust tips from an 02 car would fit on an 00 model without any modification.

I am looking at some large oval tips with flattened bottoms (similar to a letter D rotated through 90 degrees) to replace my small original ones, but I'm not confident that they will fit ok.

From what I remember when trying to get tips for my car, the facelift ones don't fit the earlier car as the cut out in the rear bumper is too small. I fitted Dansk twin pipes in the end.
 
The rear PU on the facelift mode is deeper, and they made the down-tube of the exhaust tip longer. If you put them on a pre-facelift car they hang down below the PU and look a bit silly.
