exhaust & tyres

I want to make my 968 club sport sound more interesting without making it too noisy/uncomfortable inside for long journeys across Europe.Would Janspeed be a good choice or something else?
Also it is time to think about tyres again-will cross Germany so will need then to be capable of high speed. Any thoughts as what?
Thanks,REP.

Go for a custom SS exhaust for a perfect fit. Try Stainless Creations for pictures of the work they did on my CS and other 968s.

I use S-02s and others recommend the Falkins on the 968.

Mine has a Janspeed fitted by a previous owner and I think it is a good compromise between an interesting noise whilst not being too intrusive or chav-loud, and is about the right size in terms of the tail-pipe looks.

I know Mikeoupe had a Harland and Scott (sp.) on his when he got it and it was too much and changed for a standard one in short order!

Mine from the rear, it has S02s fitted all-around, I had Falkens on the 944T, but prefer the S02s:

Recently a group on porsche968uk all bought Janspeed SS cat back systems, be worth a search on that forum for info.

What size wheels have you got? If you've got 17"s, Goodyear now do their Eagle F1 asymmetric 2s in 255/40/17 94Y.

Hi Chaps, thanks for the interest, let me get this weekend out of the way (we are at Donnington) and i will get back to you early next week[:)]

Mark, you selling tyres, i'll take....oh wait, sorry, forgot...i don't have a 968 anymore!

Wouldn't recommend a Cargraphic exhaust, mine split several times and had to have some serious fettling to resolve once and for all.

Another one for the S02's, thought they were a great tyre on the 968 and suited the car well. Took some miles to get them to wear in though, and once down to 2-3mm went off. Tried FK452's late last year on the CS before i sold it. OK for the price, but when you pushed on i think the 10/10 grip levels were not there, some tyre wall roll also, fractionally more road noise too.
