Exhaust

My Gen1 997 will soon need a new exhaust.
Can anyone offer any comments on the Eurocup Sports system, as advertised in Porscheshop?
Thanks,
Steve

Yep Its very good It has a very similar design approach as the Milteck but at about 60% of the price. It sounds very good and is well made I've played with a couple of cars with Eurocup exhaust and they are better than the Porsche sports exhaust and significantly lighter too. I think you might be able to get switchable now - which is very , very fruity (loud) and very racy. I dropped my car off there yesterday for some work and they demoed it on their shop car to me. I went for the full Milteck but that was very pricey (about 12kg's+ lighter than the standard exhaust), Cargraphic would be the other I'd look at if I had a big budget. For a more sensible budget I'd go Eurocup every time. The other thought is are you thinking of any further mods - there are a suite of the that suit either the Milteck or Euro cup very well, or a different set that suit the Cargraphic. So for example the induction systems on the Porscheshop web site work very well with Eurocup and Millteck - SA some of you know Ian designed one of them using my car as the donkey, so for about 6-9 months last year I had a slightly different home made set up every 4 -6 weeks to see which drove & sounded best. Hope this helps

Many thanks for your comments. They are most helpful. I think I'll go with the Eurocup system, as it is supposed to give a bit more BHP and is a bit cheaper than the OE sports system.
