Experience of Chappell Sports Cars

Has anyone in R23 had direct experience of Chappell Sports Cars?

Their website is rather nice and says all the right things. It emphasises customer service and promises a "bespoke" two year warranty, covering bore scoring, intermediate shaft bearing, rear main oil seal, radiators etc., in fact all the major issues that worry me about my projected purchase of a Gen I 997. The glowing quotes from customers appear genuine, too. On the other hand, I get the impression that they do not do their own servicing, and on Google Street View the showroom appears to be in the middle of a rather ordinary second hand car outlet.
Even though we live in Warwickshire, we are regularly in their part of the world for Goodwood and short breaks, and are thinking of calling in on our next visit - it is our favourite area of the country and my old home.

I would be very interested to hear from any of you who have had dealings with them.

I've not bought from them but did drop in last year as Goodwood/Chichester near to me and great roads for an early morning weekend spin- I recall they told me they had worked with or for harbour cars which is another Porsche dealer only a few miles away but longer established - both dealers seemed very experienced and genuine from my conversations with nicely prepared cars - but others may have specific experience - worth checking our 911 uk.com I believe one of them one a dealer award recently

Anything to do with Jon Chappell? If so, he was a staunch supporter of the Essex Region back in the late '80s when we ran it. A man of his word then.
