Exprience required please......

Hi, I'm looking for a 964 C4 or C2. RHD Only. This will be my first 911....

Is the 964 a much better car to drive than a 3.2 Carerra. I've only driven the Carerra before and that wasn't that nice to drive.
Would a 964 drive a little like my 90 944 Turbo i had?
Are the 964 riddled with engine probs we all read about?
What's the best advise anyone could give me when looking to buy a 964?
