Extend the Warranty or Not?

The manufacturer's warranty expires on my BoxterS in a weeks time. They have written to me asking if I want to purchase a 1 years Porsche approved warranty policy for £895. I am unsure what to do. What are the more usual/possible things that could go wrong with my car and likely costs? and would those things have been covered under the warranty anyway? If others have had bad experiences with problems and paid a lot of money for repairs then I would likely pay the money for the extra warranty for peace of mind.

I think the collective view is to renew. There is a 'goodwill matrix' operated by the OPCs and Porsche Cars GB, but the warranty is 'belt and braces'.

Also helps if you ever try to sell your car privately.

Thanks I did not think of that as I was not thinking of selling as I absolutely LOVE IT but you are of course right the warranty would help if things changed and I wanted to sell later. Warranty it is then.

I would go for it ..at least it will you peace of mind and as said a good selling tool if you ever deceide to sell,it is a bit like all insurances could save thousands or you may never claim.
