Extended Warranty changes

Just had a call from Tonbridge OPC as I had told them I wanted to extend my warrnaty for a further year. Apparently the extended warranty is being changed from 1 October although the existing extended warranty can be bought until then. Under the new warranty many of the exemptions (hoses etc) are being removed ie the exemptions will disappear and items such as hoses will be covered. This was described to me as making the warranty more like an extension to the original manufacturers warranty.

Not surprisingly there is expected to be an adjustment to the price and the OPC does not have details BUT cars which are going onto the new warranty (even if covered on the old warranry) will need to have the 111 point check at £270.

I had the same call for my car from Reading OPC as my warranty is up for renewal on 15th September... My car is an 03 Boxster... I have decided to go for the old warranty as it is £895 as opposed to over £1200.... Not sure what I am going to do next year though
