I can see the hole in the offside air intake where I think its supposed to go, but so far haven't seen the sensor yet.
Is your photo, Richard, of a 987? I don't have the metal grilles at all.
Richard's photo is of the front of his old 996 to which he added the front mesh/grills to stop stone damage to the rads.
The circular thing in your photo is the temperature sensor holder, to which the sensor clicks in from behind. It looks like your sensor has broken off and all that's left are the wires that used to attach to it.

Grovelling around under there, I notice that the underside of the front spoiler is quite badly damaged where someone has run up a curb with it (I guess).
