Hi all,

I am now the proud owner of a 964 C4 and while looking through the manual and going through all the buttons on the dashboard, I have found an extra swith in the footwell???

When I turn it on a light starts flashing next to it, does anyone have one of these in their car and can tell me what it does?

Tahnks

Linked to the original Palmer & Hamilton(I think) alarm fitted when the cars came into teh country.

I believe it overides the internal sensors so you can set the alarm and leave the dog in there.

Mines not connected anymore due to the Clifford having it's own setup. Sh1te loads of wiring and boxes when the sparky took the old alarm off.

Thanks Rob.

Quick pic of the new car, looking forward to taking it to the Nurburgring in May.

Looks nice Steve, always liked the dark grey.

When are you at the ring?, group of us are going on the 27th via Spa

16th May.
There are five of us going, 964 C4, Boxter S, Lotus elise & two scoobys.

Can you take a passenger around with you or is this not allowed (share the enjoyment and as a lookout).

Let me know how you get on.

Hi, Sorry to join in, but ...
You can take passengers without any probs at the Ring.
To find out more check out http://nurburgring.org.uk/ it should answer many if not all of your other questions as well as give you some time on preparation.

Where are you located ? North/South/Midlands ? Thinking of going over around then, maybe join in and add a C2 to the group.

I have the same switch on my car and I can confirm it does disable the internal movement sensors.

It's fitted to my targa so that the alarm does not keep going off if I park it up without the roof on.

Can you take a pic of this as I sometimes want to leave one of our dogs in the C2 and can't cos he will set off the alarm.
Much appreciated.

I'm based in Reading, Berkshire. The trip is booked for 15th, 16th & 17th May so if your intrested then I can send you details of the ferry and hotel we're booked into.

It's not an official PCGB trip just me and my mates going away for a jolly.

I believe there is an official trip being organised sometime in April but your more than welcome to join us (more the merrier).

I've pointed to the switch with an arrow on the attched picture so you can see where the internal movement sensor imobiliser switch is.

It's a black switch with a little red LED just in front of it.

Cheers
