If someone has a pair of second hand ones in good condition please let me know

yes its the narrow strip the drivers side is broken passenger side is split so im on the look out for a pair ill have a look at the vw ones then thanks...are they exactly the same then? i wonder why porsche no longer have them not much demand?[8|]

Yes I think demand is low. think they went over to the solid handles with the oval dash - 25 years ago!
Also there (maybe were) are lots of vw bits around so nobody ordered them and it they did you had to buy the complete solid ones - win win for Porsche!

i do have some solid handles but the lock barrel seems to be longer and im not sure if they will fit

I would like to keep thing as original as possible though, so i would like to get hold of a pair of inserts so the car retains its older looks

ill keep looking and if anyone can get hold of a pair please let me know

Choice of black or chrome. I`m positive they are the same as a 944 as I had a 944 and have a Mk 1 Golf.
