F40 vs 959

Spotted on the series preview snippets from Top Gear last night that it looks like there may be an F40 v 959 head to head to look forward to! Can't wait!

I drooled over both cars as a teenager so would be good to see which one comes out on top.

Was it here or PH that they were asking for a 959 to use?

Can't see why anyone would let them loose in their own car, especially after what they did to the poor SLS last night! []

I admire both cars equally - I suspect it will come down to the technological marvel that is the 959 or the very agricultural, basic and more track focussed F40. I don't care which comes out on top - the spectacle alone will be great to watch!

Problem with technological marvels is that the thing they do well ages quickly so it just becomes an interesting old car for a collector. For me (out of those two) I'd go for the mad but entertaining F40 over the highly competent, clinical 959 every time [;)]

I'd rather have a 288GTO than either though [:D]

Well I certainly wouldn't turn either down if offered one !
