Been offered a 1988 Black 944S for silly money so can not refuse but thought i would see if any one here has owned or knows the history of the car.

Any info appreciated.

Cheers

You have quite a few cars aleady by the look of it but if its 'silly money' it doesnt matter too much does it [;)]

not if you consider the cost of an S engine on its own.

Car just needs cosmetics before MOT so quick project and ready for sale at end of november i hope.

Whats wrong with having loads of cars anyway.

One 944 for each day of the week is nice and the 993 for special occasions.

Anyway the cost of these now means that all the 944s have cost less than the decrepiation i once suffered on a 5 series BMW

Nothing wrong with having loads of them [8D] but its the practicality of it I find a pain. Tax and insurance times how ever many cars plus waiting for them to go wrong or just looking after them all cost.

You may or may not know I get bored with anything and I mean anything not just cars so am always changing mine and each classic policy is non refunbable so it's like throwing money away. Different if you're doing it as a small business I know. I assume if you do get one thats not up to scratch engine wise you break it anyway for your parts business or maybe stick another one in ( says me as if an engine in is a 2 minute job lol) . Anyway im firmly not in the dont break them brigade , where do folk think all the parts enthusiasts need come from.

When we met you were about to start Porkaparts It sounded like good fun with or without the business aspect
I'm still plucking up the courage to take one to bits as a learning excersise and still havn't done it [:)]

Regards

Mas
