Having now fitted the Fabspeed Maxflo's on the 993 did a bit of recording as a comparision.

To listen to it just follow the link, press open then play the mp3 file in any player. The exhaust note has now become nice and low with a rumble. Also feel that there is more response when accelerating, but that could just be me having the car up around 4 - 5k revs to listen to the sound

Just driven 250 miles back to the house in England and there is no resonance cruising, however around 2000 revs there is a bit more noise but nothing obtrusive. To tell the truth I loved the A road stretch as the sound was sublime, deep and throaty right up to a howl as you upped the revs.

Bob,

You can get them from Essential Styling for £795 + vat, however I was lucky and picked them up from somebody whose daughter as not keen on the sound. Here is the ad from the site

14 Hp- Throaty sports car sound, but not too loud for every day driving, All MAXFLOW Exhaust Systems are manufactured from 14 - 16 gauge extra heavy duty T304 stainless steel, which eliminates the splitting, cracking and annoying resonance. inc tailpipes for £795+vat per pair

Thy do have an interesting way of talking about certain rivals on their website[:D]

Being an american company they mus either be very sure of their facts or just plain daft asI am sure they would be getting dragged off to court to be sued!

HP improvement wa not the reason I got them, just for the sound, although saying that the throttle is more responsive. This was something that annoyed me about the 993 at low revs where it seemed to hunt. After taking off the K&N filter last month there was an improvement and with the new exhaust system on there have been further improvements.

In the US you can slag your competition off as much as you like. It's perfectly legal.
