Facelift 997 Turbo info

Hi,

I'm new to the forum but have owned 911's for 5 years now (but never a turbo). I'm currently planning for my next car for the end of 2008 and have seen spyshots of the facelift 997 TT for some months. On calling my local dealer today, they said even though the normal Carrera's will become available facelifted for end 2008, the TT will be a year later. Can anybody confirm this ? You know what it's like though, I don't want to get a car at the end of this year, only to have the facelift available a few months later.
Or perhaps I should take a facelift C2S at the end of the year and drive that for a year (or should I bite the bullet and put my name down for pre facelift TT, which I'm been told should take between 8-12 months).

Decisions, decisions.

Greg,
There are also rumours doing the rounds about the facelift turbo, not having the GT1 engine block, which is a mighty strong unit, but instead, having a new engine from the n/a cars, but with turbos bolted too it.There is a lot of pie in the sky, and conjecture as always regarding these things, and its usually the dealers that are last to know. Also rumours that there wont even be an 09 turbo, so who knows.I would bite the bullett and get the car you want now.Lifes too short mate, to always be waiting, wondering, wishing.Regards, SIMON.[:D]

if you bought a used car now, then any potential for getting "porchezumped" by a new model will be completely mitigated. ie by the time that car is 3 yrs old no one will really care whether it's the facelift or not. I think you can become a bit obsessed with facelifts, it's only an issue if you pay top wack for the outgoing style, so, simply, don't.

Does anyone have a link to a picture of the new, face-lifted 997tt?

(The example I found just looked like a normal, black 997 to me.. Unless I'm missing something?)
