New to porche have a 996 low mileage 2001 model 3.4 cabrio. Car is great clocking up mileage faster than any other car I've owned, just a great drive. Have encountered only one problem, the digital readout for the speed has stopped working for no particular reason, the analogue clock works fine. Any clues?remedy? wiring to check? fuses? is this a known problem?

Thanks for the your suggestion, yes the spoiler does funtion and fuse B4 is OK. Having just driven car with a torch aimed at the digital readout the LCD is funtioning but not iluminated. Is this simply a back light bulb that has failed or could it be more serious? its it easy to replace bulbs if this is the case?

That sounds fun. How many arms have you got?
If you send me an email, I'll attach instructions for the instrument cluster removal and backlight bulb replacement to the reply. They are in pdf format, so I can't attach them to this post.
