Fair price?

Just wondering what is a fair price to ask for a 1987 944s with 122k.

Car has piles of history and is in very good overall condition.
Only mods are lowered suspension and 18" turbo cup wheels (still have original teledials too), dansk exhaust system.
Car also has a 944 number plate.

I was thinking of about £3500 would that be too high or about right?

Probably on the high-ish side, but not miles off.

I paid £4250 for a good '89 S2 last May. 117k miles, FPSH.

I'd agree - try it at that price but be prepared either to have to wait a bit or to drop for a sale. Priced to sell I'd suggest late £2k range.

i thought 3k would have been a cheap price.
Does anyone know of anyone looking for a nice clean 944s ;) have to sell it now as the wife has gone and got herself pregnant again haha

At sub £3K I think you would get a lot of tyre kickers and wasters. £3.2K might bring out the serious buyers looking for a serious car - you might not get 3.2 but at least the boy racers will stay away.

Good man.

It's always good to hear of a seller getting what he wanted - unless your the buyer [;)]

i advertised for £3750 ono and had 14 callers, the first guy to see it bought it

Wow :) thats pretty good to hear, will probably be looking at selling mine in just under 12 months though I probably will get a bit less considering I should be just over 200k by then :)

just had it in the autotrader. Yeah im chuffed it sold so easily, but sorry to see it go, only had one year of porsche ownership.

Im sure I will be back someday though

It seems that Autotrader is the best for selling as the prices of Porsche are generally higher than say ebay.

yeah wouldnt bother with ebay, autotrader is the awy to go, and you very rarely see 944's readvertised so they are obviously selling for the money people are looking for them.

Very good news. Though i dont know if people in Northern Ireland are maybe prepared to pay a premium as the cars are rare enough over here.
