evening guys
right small problem ive got that niggling at me

the other day I left the car running whilst giving it a wash, after a little while noticed that there was a small amount of steam coming from the bonnet so quickly shot round to the keys a switched off
now popped the bonnet and the res was just on a slow bubbling and checked the fuse to notice it had blown. so changed it fan kicked in ok, ran it up again from cold later that day it went into steam mode again only to notice that bloody fuse had gone again??
so now this is the 7th fuse ive put in within 5 days now and im taking a run to telford on sunday and im more than certain that theres gunna be long delays and obviously don't want to sit there keep changing fuses, nor over heating,

so any ideas?

I was thinking about putting it on a permanent live when the ignitions on just to see me to telford and rutland.

I have this with my horn.. keeps blowing fuses..

I can only this it's a short some where eg where the two wires my be touching ( rubbed the insulation off ) or some how the live is damaged and touching the body work and going to earth..

I can't see why mine has gone unless the horn has degreaded and that could be what's with yours the motor it self may be at fault and that is what is causing it to go..

can you take it out or run a direct power supply to the motor? if it runs then your have a short in the wire some where?

it's what I am going to try on my horns. Good luck I hate electrical issues

my wifes Skoda is still in the garage 7 months now with electrical issue :-/ yes I did say 7 months!

Only a single fan I might just put a direct feed and no fuse to a flick switch as a temporary repair

not a good idea. if the fan is at fault you risk it going up in smoke.

A direct feed with an inline fuse?
