Fantastic on track

A few days ago I was lucky enough to do a few laps of Bruntingthorpe test track in my '83 2.0, it was my first time on a track and I have to say it was a bit scary at first.

Bruntingthorpe has fast corners a chicane and a 2 mile - 60 metre wide (!) straight; enough for my 2.0 to get 115mph and a 924 Turbo to get to 138mph (this wasn't flat out though!)

But the most amazing thing was how forgiving the 924 is - I've heard lots about how well the car handles but nothing beats trying out for yourself!
I'm a novice when it comes to driving fast but I was lightly drifting all four tyres on some corners at 60-70mph and the car stayed completly neutral and safe - and the brakes (even with rear drums) slowed the car without fuss.

All in all - Wow! [:)]
