Hi Paul,

I can vaguely remember an article which you wrote in the PCGB mag, under the 968 section, about having a new windscreen fitted to one of your 968s.

I seem to recall that you ordered some parts in anticipation of the new windscreen being fitted, IIRC, they're some strips which need to be ordered separately from the windscreen.

Was this you, or am I getting confused and it may have been Stu?

Anyway, I've hunted through my pile of PCGB mags and typically can't find that particular article - if it was you, can you please remind me of what the parts are and possibly the part numbers!?!

My windscreen has got a nice big crack in it, and I need to get it sorted before I take it on holiday!

Cheers,

Marv

Found it! It's this years March issue - I need a replacement rubber extrusion. I'll hassle my glass company to order the right one.

By the way, in PET, it only lists 944 559 535 03 'cover strip' but lists it under cabrio?? Is this the correct one?

Marv.
The cabrio one i dont think is correct, as the cabrio screen is a different size. Its shorter in height...
I think Mr Follet will be busy with is racing as hes testing tommorrow + racing on Saturday..[:D][:D][:D][:D]

Cheers Dave, that makes sense.

Think I'll have to give my OPC a call tomorrow, see what they say, as PET only lists Cabrio, for some weird reason

Interesting, Im pretty sure Ive got a cabrio screen in my sport. It has a radio aerial embedded in it.
I thought Id read somewhere that there are only cabrio screens available now?

I think Dave is correct that the cabrio screen is a different size to the Coupe.

I spoke to my OPC today and it turns out that the rubber seal which I need, is for both the Coupe and the Cabriolet, but for the Cabriolet, it needs cutting down to size.

The part number is 993 541 925 00, by the way, if anyone is reading this in the future!

I suspect the replacement 968 windscreens, which have the inbuilt aerial are actually from the 944.
