Please note that, at last [:)], we're starting to put some of the stickies that are filling the front page into the "faqs" sub-forum. This is staying open to non-members, so don't panic.

As with the events calender, I'll keep the posts locked and edit them if there is anything to add, rather than let them turn into threads. As such, I've cleaned a few of the old posts off of them. If I make a mistake and delete something incorrectly, or, as I've done before, make things invisible to anyone but admin, feel free to point it out.

There will be many more to come, please be patient as it's being done along with all the other Register stuff! Any suggestions (other than in the last thread on suggestions) let me know as I want this to become a complete resource for 944 owners on the interweb.

Paul, So how will this work? Can anyone add a FAQ? How is it being controlled to avoid posting of duplicate FAQ's? Are there any guidelines or rules we should follow? By the way, thanks and well done for pulling this together. It is a great idea as over the years i've been on the forum there have been alot of duplicate questions and the search function, though useful is far from 100% effective.

Hi Scott, Yep, search is not ideal, and there's no guarantee you'll find an answer anyway! The idea is to keep the faqs locked, as otherwise there ends up with a load of questions followed by Fen going off topic about red Subarus or something...[:D][:D][:D] If anyone wants to write something for a faq, pm it to me at 944@porscheclubgb.com and I'll happily use it. TBH I will only have time to really get it up and running over winter when I have some time off, and I guess a lot will be copied from Clarks or the Titanic faqs, but this forum seems to be the best 944 forum around and I'd like it to become far more of an information resource as well as just a forum. Any questions about a faq, post a thread and it'll stay on the regular forum, if it turns out there's something missing from a faq we can edit it anyway.
