Farewell to Helen?

I didn't realise tonight's meeting was going to be Helen's last one as RO. We have been a bit low key lately because of business commitments. We weren't able to get there tonight and haven't even logged on to the forum for sometime. We thought Helen was going to continue until October but judging from the little comment on the diary that is not the case. We are very sorry to see her step down - the number of cars at the photo shoot last month was testament to how she has rejuvenated the Region. Where do we go from here?

Because they no longer wish to host us or because we no longer have an R/O?

I would suggest R8 members who wish to meet up still continue to meet at the Coopers Arms on the first Monday of every month as now. At least it gives us a forum to discuss what we may or may not wish to do as a region.

Ian.

i agree, i think a new R/o needs to be appointed soon. Somthing to be discussed at the next meeting? do we still have the room Helen?

Andy

i've not cancelled anything so you should still be ok. see you all at the sept meeting. im still here as a contact and information if needed.

im only not attending August meet as i will be on my holidays.

Wasn't there a committee formed when Helen took over the reins - shouldn't it be in their hands until a new RO is appointed?

As I will be unable to attend the August (unofficial!!!) meeting at the Coopers Arms (am on holiday) can someone keep me up to date reference September, whether there will be anyone getting together as normal on the first Monday.

Also is anyone from the Region going to the Silverstone Classic meeting on the Saturday and to Eynsham on the Saturday?
