I hope to see as many of you on Sunday.

Gene,

This seems to be your favourite reply! What Stephen's note means is that the board have effectively removed him from standing as a candidate for election.

Greg

Hi Greg!

Thank you for the explanation. I am afraid that the "?" was simply indicating, in both cases, my ignorance of what it was all about. I am not really into politics, PCGB or otherwise, and I am grateful for the information provided.

Best wishes and hope to see your 928 one of these days.

Your close Greg.
What it actually means is they have thrown him out of the club.

Its unbelievable what some people will do to better their own cause, including one of our own Essex members. (Ex)
I suggest we advise him in the strongest terms to join the Kent region.

Can I appeal for some degree of sanity here? Whether you are aware of what's been going on, or who's side you take, no-one's 100% blameless, as I'm sure everyone will agree.

I know for a fact that people at all levels, from ROs and RSs, forum admins, right through to the Board, all have to do things they don't want to at some point, and sometimes don't have a choice as it's part of a bigger picture. It would be a very sad state of affairs if people couldn't disagree over something, yet continue to be members of the same region without it causing friction. If you're talking about who I think you are then "furthering his own cause" is just plain rubbish anyway.

Let's keep the politics to the right place; at the appeal. [:)]

If you are not aware Paul and the person concerned hasn't told you then i will let you know on Sunday.

Paul

Unfortunately the Board took away peoples sanity with their actions. You are fully aware that I have been transparent with all of my actions. They have achieved their objectives and taken away the rights of members to hear both sides and make up their own minds.

The concern is that I was not given the opportunity to defend myself and no self-respecting Director should have gone ahead with a decision to expel a member without a proper and fair hearing. The Board were asked on two separate occasions to provide written evidence of the complaints to enable me to produce a credible defence. Unfortunately they failed to provide the evidence. They could have defferred the hearing to time and date sutable to all parties.

All Directors must live with the consequences of their actions. I also had no alternative to do what I did for the good of the Club.

The appeal may well exonerate me but the new Board will be in power and cannot be unseated and members will cry we want stability.

I am extremely angry and the delivery of the letter which is unsigned is not acceptable.

Paul,

I disagree, we are blamless! Appeal for sanity, what tosh if you disagree with something why do it? What are we a car club or lemmings? In this instance this particular Director has become a lemming at a benefit to himself.....If you right, stick by your morals and defend yourself even if you get thrown our of the club!

Paul

You are right we should all be able to remain part of a region and for that matter PCGB even though we disagree over something, just a pity that none of the Directors had the B***** to stand up and be counted and support this notion. I have been supported by my region.

I will be available at the AGM if any member wishes to know the truth, I will have all the emails and letters which have been sent to me, I have nothing to hide transparency is what is required. You can also ring me on 07831336126
