Fasteners/Nuts/Bolts sources

Morning...

Where can you source the fiddly fastners that hold on the undertrays....more specifically I am after "not sure what they are called"...but look like inverted star washers that retain the screws within the undertray when removing...mine had a couple missing

Tried local tool/diy merchants no joy !!!

Any suggestions.

Have you tried an OPC?

They seem to be able to put these on the bill for any work done [;)]

Yes definitely the OPC. I had to order the same parts recently. Helps if you have the relevant PET catalogue to hand so you can give part no. Richard at Hatfield was very impressive and helpful. He even came round to my house to drop the parts off!

It would be nice if these fasteners (i.e. all the clips involved in fixing on the undertrays) could be made in stainless steel. Does anyone know if this is done by anyone?

The fastners are actually called Dzus fastners. They use the same design on older race cars to hold the body work on. May be able to get them from aero component places or race car suppliers. Easiest though is Porsche themselves. They're not expensive and come in two lengths, those that hold the engine cover which are shorter and those that hold the transmission cover. Remember to order with the star washer which holds them in place and stops them being lost. The part that they screw into can also be bought seperately as these can be damaged by over enthusiastic mechanics.
