My 2014 991.1 Carrera S (which I've only owned for a few weeks) is displaying the following message "Fault cooling system. Visit garage". I will contact PC who I bought the car from on Monday and ask them what might this be, but wonder if anyone else has encountered this message. The car is only a month into a Porsche 2 year warranty so ultimately this shouldn't cost me, whatever is causing it.

Fault with cooling system

I think that error is commonly associated with one or more vacuum valves which are not necessarily part of the cooling system but the loss of vacuum can trigger the error.
Hopefully the dealer can pin point the issue. I have read of it taking several attempts to find the root cause.

Hi Ronald,
The cooling system on your 991 is very complex and includes a number of sensors and solenoid valves, as well as vacuum connections, the failure of any one of which could be causing an issue. It may just be that a vacuum tube has become dislodged and is causing a leak … and not necessarily in the cooling system!
The technician will have a better idea what’s happening when the Porsche diagnostics [PIWIS] are connected. Hopefully it’s something simple and you’ll have your car back quickly.

Thanks for your comments guys. Searching around the internet on this squares with what you've said above. Today I've booked the car in with PC Bournemouth to sort (glad it's under warranty as these days it doesn't take much to generate a very large bill !
Out of interest - do you have PSE ( sports exhaust )?
If so - check that's working as expected, it's vacuum driven - I have been reading that it can be a valve on the exhaust that triggers the vacuum "issue" that causes the "cooling system" problem.
Be interested in the result of the dealer investigaiton and fix, please keep us updated.
